Camping and COVID-19 Updates: A Message from Steep Rock Association

We regret to inform you that the Steep Rock 2020 Camping season has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Anyone with camping reservations will have their deposit returned. In addition, the two outhouses are closed and locked and Tunnel Road will remain closed. All preserves and trails remain open to the public. While enjoying our trails, please be courteous and respectful of other visitors; wear a mask and follow social distancing requirements (6-ft). We have seen several bears and wildlife are actively nesting and raising young. Please leash your dogs and clean up after them for the safety of your dogs, our visitors, and the ecology of our preserves. We emphasize “Leave No Trace” practices to ensure quality experiences for everyone. If parking lots are full when you arrive, consider visiting another preserve or one of our alternate parking areas (see maps on our website). Thank you for your support. All are welcome here. Enjoy your hike!
