Steep Rock is expanding the trail system at Macricostas Preserve by 30 percent!
Milestones: Since the Macricostas Expansion project was launched in 2018, we have closed on four acquisitions totaling almost 100 acres, a 25% increase in owned land at the Macricostas Preserve. The Preserve now extends to the Warren town line. THANK YOU to the generous donors who funded this first expansion phase. We are in discussions regarding additional acquisitions and donations of land or conservation easements in order to permanently protect Pinnacle Valley.
The work is scheduled to be completed in 2022, subject to funding.
