Bequests

Whether you designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate, your legacy gift will empower Steep Rock’s conservation work in the future.

Have you already included Steep Rock in your will or estate plan? Let us know using this Bequest Intention Form.

Beneficiary Designations

Your retirement plans, life insurance policies, and annuities can all help advance conservation and protect the places you love.

QCD

Qualified Charitable Distributions, also called IRA Charitable Rollovers. If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Steep Rock and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity like ours without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover or qualified charitable distribution (QCD) >get started

Retained Life Estate

Through a retained life estate, you may transfer ownership of your home, farm, or other property to Steep Rock while retaining the right to live there during your lifetime.

Real Estate

Land with conservation value —such as wildlife habitat, historic or scenic qualities, or agricultural use—may be donated  to Steep Rock. Houses, buildings, and other developed real estate can be donated as trade properties: the sale of the property then provides funding for projects of greatest need.

Trusts

A  Charitable Remainder Trust disperses  income to the trust beneficiaries for a specified time then donates the remainder of the trust to Steep Rock.  Charitable Lead Trusts allow you to  make near term charitable gifts then distribute the remainder interest to non-charitable beneficiaries.
