Spring Saunters: Steep Rock Preserve, Wed., May 21, 2025

Join Steep Rock Association’s Executive Director on a series of monthly walks exploring Steep Rock’s various preserves.  The Saunter series kicks off with a casual walk in Steep Rock Preserve on Wednesday, May 21, beginning at 5:30pm. We will meet at the main parking lot (2 Tunnel Rd, Washington Depot) and hike the Holiday House Loop (about 1.3 miles). Steep Rock staff, volunteers, and a group of students from the Frederick Gunn School are currently clearing vegetation around the Holiday House remains, where we will be planting a “ruins” garden later this summer. Participants should wear appropriate clothing, trail shoes or boots, and bring water, snacks, and bug spray as necessary.
