VISTA Winter 2012

In this Vista, 2011 was a year of significant land conservation accomplishments by the Steep Rock Association, including new land acquisitions and conservation easements that expanded protected open space in the region. The issue also features organizational updates such as staff transitions, strengthened governance and conservation policies, and the development of new programs to improve trail management, easement monitoring, and long-term stewardship capacity. It reflects a period of growth and strategic planning aimed at enhancing the organization’s ability to protect and manage the landscapes of the Shepaug River Valley.
