VISTA Summer 2006

This VISTA showcases Steep Rock Association’s community engagement and conservation education efforts, including the development of a new interpretive trail at Macricostas Preserve created in partnership with the Washington Garden Club. The issue features information on trail-based learning opportunities focused on local ecosystems, wetlands, and invasive species, as well as organizational updates and stewardship messaging that encourages responsible enjoyment of the preserves. It reflects a strong emphasis on connecting residents with the natural history and ecological value of the Shepaug River Valley through hands-on education and guided exploration.
