Rossiter’s Riverside Retreat Walk at the Clamshell, Steep Rock Preserve, Sunday, June 8, 2025

Join Carol Santoleri as she guides a hike and shares the story of Ehrick Rossiter and his development of the Clam Shell into a quiet space for hikers and equestrians away from automobiles and macadam roadways. 

Please note, hike is 4-miles, moderately paced. We will meet at 10AM at the Riding Ring at Steep Rock Preserve, 2 Tunnel Rd, Washington Depot.

What to Bring:
To ensure you’re comfortable and prepared, we recommend bringing:

• Sturdy hiking or comfortable walking shoes
• Water to stay hydrated
• A snack for the trail
• Insect repellent
• Hiking poles, if you use them
• Layers appropriate for the weather
