Steep Rock’s Trails Committee is sponsoring a challenge. Walk all 36 miles of trails in the three Steep Rock Preserves — Hidden Valley, Steep Rock and Macricostas — and become a “SR 36er.”

Include a check for $36.00 (a dollar a mile). Checks should be payable to “Steep Rock Association.” All proceeds will benefit trail maintenance.
Upon registration, you will receive a map of each preserve and will begin the challenge. Mark and date each trail walked and bring your marked maps to the Steep Rock office when you finish. You’ll receive a SR 36er hat, receive a diploma at our annual volunteers and 36ers luncheon. You’ll also have your name listed on our website and in our newsletter. There is no time limit for completing the challenge.

Be sure to hike all trails and connectors, not just marked trail loops. Skiing or snowshoeing is allowed. Horseback riding or biking is not allowed.
