      Steep Rock Receives Grant

Steep Rock Association is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $2,000 grant to support a project that will enhance our monitoring of conservation easements. This new initiative will provide GPS mapping of all easement boundaries, thereby making our monitoring effort more efficient and accurate, as well as make it conform better to Land Trust Alliance’s Land Trust Standards and Practices. This project is funded in part by an award from the Connecticut Land Trust Challenge Fund, administered by the Connecticut Land Conservation Council in partnership with the Land Trust Alliance. This collaborative effort to increase the pace and quality of land conservation is made possible by the generous support of the Connecticut Community Foundation, The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and the Jessie B. Cox Charitable Lead Trust.
